This time I drive an old Iswara fetching big guy and vp for lunch. Big guy is sick today, yet his brain and stomach are functioning well. We went to SOS as usual.

After sit down at SOS for some time, big guy noticed a gal, he stares at the subject without his eye taking off a bit. Drowsy look suddenly changed to interesting, like a tiger watch over his prey, ready to attack. (just kidding... ^_^) vp's comment is her figure looks alike his old favorite. By the time we thought she is a stranger, big guy pull out his hp and call the victim. He knows her! This is the gal which makes big guy willingly missed a flight at some point of time in the past. I think my brain is aging faster than my current age, I couldn't recall much of the story. Only vague signals.

Another topic mentioned is about changing environment, which triggerred by Mee Jawa. :)
It's a double servings for vp today. The dish is not so nice as long as I can recall. But who knows things will change?
At the end, the conclusion is, something never change. It still sucks. Not our cup of tea, maybe.
Things change over the years. Both vp & I haven't being fathered yet 5 years ago. In a sarcastic manner, big guy said vp haven't even acquired necessary manufacturing skills yet at that time. And big guy admit he is still in simulation mode til now. We both said big guy must have a lot of prototyping going on thru the years. Wonder how many failing prototype did he
scrapped, or give away to others? We can smell lots of scandals here & there, but hehehehe... only he himself knows.

Talking about taste. vp mentioned about most pg people likes Honda cars. That's the taste of the majority here, which I couldn't verify. big guy gave an example, his mum. His mum likes Savvy. By relating that to his father, she could have picked up a rich guy. If my son said something like that, I will... Just a joke! ^_^

Big guy took rapid pg bus last weekend. The ride is smooth. I jokingly warned him of not leaning at the windows. There's an accident where a passenger fell out from emergency door and died. big guy said it's pye's sister. This really gives us a shock. In yesterday's news, a woman got infected with AIDS from blood tranfusion in a general hospital 7 years ago. She was only compensated with 450K now. (Sorry, my mistake. It's a she not he.) But from the article, the GH gave free medical to her. With pye's case, I wonder how much she will get for his sister's life, and for how long.

This is a recap on what we had discussed last Wednesday lunch on 7-Nov-2007, but it's a pathetic attempt. Not all are captured.

Big guy came with his new apple green MyVi today - again.vp commented that the new car smell is still there. Not to say it's pleasant, but it gives you that kind of memory which
reminds you of a new car. vp suddenly came up with a new idea - why don't we make that smell into a car fragrance? This is such a brilliant idea coming out from a brilliant guy, but whether it can sell, it's another matter.

Today we started off without direction at first. We are too engroused in the discussed topics. big guy follow the way he prefers, and we are heading towards Jalan Tengah at the end. vp suggested one famous food nearby in Relau, which big guy haven't tried before - the hot sour fish vermicelli. It's hot & expensive according to big guy's standard.

It is always interesting for big guy to see how people turnaround and be successful in bad times. Me too but not as diligent as him in reading those. :)

Lunch out again with big guy and vp in apple green MyVi. We chat on a lot of things, need some time to recall.

First thing in mind, the iPod nano + radio transmitter, 2nd generation. 1st statement from big guy is "high tech gadgets use on lousy radio." With vp's sharp observation, he straight away pointed out it is a 2nd gen iPod nano, but I never know. This shows how gadgy I am too. ^_^

Big guy encountered road block previously when on the way to fetch us, and he thought they are going to seek trouble on the iPod nano, but were not. I commented maybe they don't even know what it is. LOL.

vp commented that the blue light on the transmitter antenna is misleading, as people might tot it's a bluetooth device.

Later we went on to big guy's SOS (sweet old spot - sounds kinky but 1 fren in Germany now likes it very much)

At SOS, we had the bean sprout chicken rice, that improved a lot in rumours. So this is the right time to check it out. At the end, it's just an OK comment from 2 of us. Maybe my expectation is too high.

Later we talk about MPUs, AMD and Intel, the usual topic for geeks like us. And we enjoy doing that. Jargons like Santa Rosa, Merom & topics like Pentium 4 frying eggs, Intel eats his own words & industry trends on doing away with FSB, & much more.

Today lunch out with big guy & vp. Talk abt new Japan CBU Mitsubishi Lancer in company. 13K cheaper than CKD Civic 2.0. Lancer engine is more powerful but heavier. Civic 2.0 is less powerful but lighter. One more plus point for Lancer is, there's space in engine cabin ready for turbo charge.

vp points out in his experience, in a roadshow somewhere, an average Joe ah beng put a positive comment on the Lancer outlook, meaning the Lancer will have a potentially good demand and resale value in local market here.

Conclusion? Have yet to try it out.

What's in a name?

Why, why Joe Lancaster, even those who know me might ask? But that 2 fellas from Phase IV sure knows.

If you really wanna know why Joe Lee has adopted that British pseudo last name, let me know so that we can start talking, or simply, lancasting. Hey, that's a hint. A big one.
